![]() Senior: Sac High is like a second home to me. If I could relive and try it again, I would. I do wish in the future it can be on average maybe an hour, or at least more shade outside to sit and eat. Some staff as well can try to be a little bit more understanding at times, but as from what I had, it was pretty good. We only have 30 minutes, and that's barely enough to get our food in a very long line, sit down and eat. Read 504 reviewsĪlum: I have tried many different kinds of courses such as AP, honnors, extracurricular activities & sports! There's so many to choose from & they are always so welcoming! I've participated in V.A.P.A activities and won medals as well as some in wrestling! I made a ton of friends and made it through so many challenges with my friends and staff! My best experience is my senior year as we got to wrap up everything and got to do the amazing things with my friends as well as getting ready for my senior speech and projects! It was a ton of fun! A thing I can say however, I wish to be changed for the future is lunch time. Something I would like to see change at Laguna Creek is renovations to the facilities such as the theatre room, gym, and sports fields. For example, I am in the Sport's Careers Academy, and I have been CPR certified and learned to medically tape athletes. My favorite part about attending is the access to different academia and career paths that can help students explore what they may want to do after high school. I also have felt great support from the teachers, counselors, and other staff all throughout my 4 years of attending. The school spirit is great and very involved, which makes the experience way better. Senior: With Laguna Creek High School being an older school in the Elk Grove Unified School District, it’s facilities, sports fields, and campus are not as big or nice compared to other schools, However, it is also the only IB school in my district and with that I feel that I have been very prepared for college with the 4 IB classes I have been taking. ![]() The new Head of School, Tim Wong, is outstanding!. The school employs full time campus security and we feel extremely comfortable with the campus safety plan. Our kids have all enjoyed the support of deeply committed teachers, who show a sincere interest in their success and growth academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally. It was an incredible opportunity for a high school student. He also participated in a Law Academy program, where he was able to visit the local state and federal courts, learn from attorneys and judges, and learn how to read legal cases. My 9th grader has had the opportunity to participate in student government, take an AP class (and passed the AP exam to earn college credit!), plays 3 sports and enjoys a campus climate that is welcoming and supportive. Our experience through middle, elementary and high school has been outstanding. My 10th grader began at the school in 5th grade. Parent: I have three children attending CCS: 1st, 3rd and 10th grades. I would like students to support the school's sports teams more often. These divisions are seen through friend groups and the high-egos many people have here. Because of this, at times, the school does not feel like a community when it should be. There are also many students from low-income families, but this creates a lot of division between people. In my opinion, the worst part is the fact that the majority of the school comes from middle to high-class backgrounds. This allows students to feel like they are a part of something, which is needed. There are also so many opportunities for students to become leaders and organize clubs and organizations within the community. The school consists of very prestigious students, and a lot of see this as a challenge, but also extra motivation to be the best students we can be in and out of the classroom. Senior: The best part of Franklin High School are the standards for academics, and the several class options students have the ability to choose from.
